COL400AL is an anti-static, electro-conductive polyester felt filtering fabric with an internal polyester weave made by needlepunching.
The production method ensures constant, uniform permeability to air with good filtering efficiency and high stability. COL400AL is made by implementing thermal stabilisation technology. A surface smoothing treatment optimises cleaning. Maximum working temperature is 130° with peaks of 150°. Surface electricity conduction of the COL400AL filtering fabric is obtained by application of aluminium powder.
The support ensures excellent fabric porosity. This treatment is the solution for all applications requiring elimination of electrical charges from powders to be filtered and filtering medium. COL400AL is suitable for filtering explosion risk powders (in explosion-proof systems) or in ( atex ) environments because the high electrical conduction value (Rd<103 Ohms - tested in accordance with Din 54345 standard) eliminates electrostatic charge from the fabric. COL400AL is suitable for dry processes where fabric is required in filters with compressed air and mechanical shaking cleaning system for the woodworking, food-processing, plastic, gravel, mining and cement making industries.
